What am I getting for my money?

1. Fees will help pay for the communities inclusion into ALL of the major search engines including Yahoo, Inktomi Databases and Infoseek Databases. These Databases feed AOL, MSN, Iwon and a host of other search engines.
2. Submitting the site to the major search engines is just one area of marketing I will pursue.  I will consistently and continuously look for more marketing avenues.   My goal is to pull in targeted traffic.  Your goal can be to convert the traffic to sales.
3. We will have a community list (forum). This is where we will all openly discuss community improvements and issues. You will automatically be placed on  this list when you become a member of the 101 Artisan Lane community.   Your voice counts here.  
4. 101 Artisan Lane is the second of our concept malls.  Our sister mall 101 Jewelry Lane has been in existance since 2/2002.  Both communities will attract the same type of buyer, so we can generate cross traffic.  Your exposure will grow while you remain one of the exclusive 50 in our small community.
5. Please remember that we can't guarantee you sales. What we can and will do is generate the traffic to bring the customers to your door,  and help you develop an entrance that is inviting and memorable. It is up to you to carry quality items at reasonable prices.
6. Lots of fr ee website advice.  Looking for a shopping cart?  I recommend Paypal's Free Shopping Cart.  If that cart doesn't please you, I can recommend another paid software package.  Or you could email others in the association list to get a variety of opinions. 

What are my costs?

7. Set up fees are a one time start up fee.  This fee varies by your home's placement in 101 Jewelry Lane.  Plots fees run from $70 to $100.
8. Yearly fees are based on your web site needs. Hosting with up 10 megabytes of storage.  Additional space is available at additional costs (click on the Fees Schedule listed on our navigational bar for a complete list of fees.  Already hosted elsewhere?  Mirror here for $50.00 a year and take advantage of the traffic we will generate.

How do I join this community?

1. Read all the information and agree to the terms. There are no contracts to sign. Nothing is written in stone. Here a handshake is accepted and respected! As with any community we do have a few basic rules:  Every site must have be related content.¬? This means you must make your items. Not resell someone elses on this site. All activities conducted on these sites must be legal.  No site owner is allowed to spam.
2. After you have made the decision to join our little online community you have to pick a plot.
3. If this is your first website, you should choose your site name and colors.  You can design your own site or we can design it for you (at an additional charge). 
4. Now you're ready for the fun part - you get to choose a house. We can customize the house for you, incorporating your own sites color schemes and logos.  This customization is part of the set up fees.
